An Emerging Community of Practice
Central to EHCCO’s approach is the formation and support of a diverse and emergent community of practice whose members represent clinical and non-clinical health professionals, conflict engagement specialists, dispute resolution and organization development professionals, patients and patient advocates, academicians and researchers, policy-makers, regulators, lawyers, and artists.
Our community has been developing for more than a decade and continues to provide opportunities for personal growth, professional dialogue, and generation of innovative approaches for transforming the culture of healthcare.
A Learning Community
As a learning community dedicated to the transformation of healthcare
organizations, we explore emerging approaches for addressing conflict
and complex issues as a means of building capacity for effective
interprofessional engagement. We
emphasize a sense of belonging combined with open inquiry to support
growth and learning among individuals and groups. We encourage deep learning in the midst of laughter and human connection.
As a community of practice, we engage in joint activities and discussions, host retreats, support collective efforts, share information, convene dialogues, create training programs, highlight the successes of our members, and we link experts with those who are seeking consultation from experienced practitioners.
Membership is open to all interested participants and requires only a conscious choice to engage through one of our programs, retreats, and occasional virtual discussions.
From time to time, we host conferences, retreats and think tanks to bring our community together. Here are highlights from some of the past gatherings of our emerging community...
